Overall Satisfaction with Sage Accounting

Sage Accounting helps us to keep track of outstanding invoices and and payments made on these invoices. It helps us to determine which members are in good standing and which members require follow up from the [...] Executive Team. These figures flow directly into the financial statements that [...] prepares.

Pros

  • Track revenue
  • Compile trial balances
  • compare current financial statement items with historical analogies

Cons

  • It should do a better job of performing metrics on critical financial statement information (i.e. day sales ratio, operating margin, etc)
  • It should try to make the information it conveys easier for no n accounting professionals to understand
  • It should perform analysis on historical balance sheet and income statement trends
  • Greater management of account receivables
  • Better management of account payables
  • Better cash flow management
It does a good job of helping the organization pull the information needed to prepare its financial statements. But it could do a better job of providing ananlysis of the information contained within the financial statements, which will allow the executives within the oranization to make better, more relevant decisions.
