Sage Accounting a solid preformer for small business
Overall Satisfaction with Sage Accounting
We use Sage Accounting on a daily basis, using the accounting files that we receive from our clients. Upgrading client files to the latest version is seamless, as is the backup process. The reminders are valuable to ensure that staff complete this process.
We find the Sage Accounting layout easy to follow, with each feature separated into the accounting module so that each is easy to find.
The reporting module is robust. It can link to Excel files and modify the reporting fields.
The live reporting of financial reports is great as it saves time by not having to rerun the report, but instead sees the changes from entries posted instantly.
The drill-down ability also saves a massive amount of time, as it allows the report entry to be drilled right down to the original entry, including opening the invoice, purchase, or pay cheque.
While the ability to recall and adjust an entry is very straightforward, having the full and complete audit trail running in the background provides the assurance that we, as the client's accountant, require.
While entering the invoice, payment receipt, purchase invoice, payment, and payroll is very easy to follow, with each screen resembling a paper copy, having extended features such as project accounting allows our clients to classify entries into divisions of operations or projects.
The bank reconciliation is easy to complete and follow through to determine any differences.
We have been using Sage Accounting since the start of Simply Accounting and refer it to our clients for a solid and viable accounting program.
