Sage Accounting

Overall Satisfaction with Sage Accounting

As a self-employed worker, I use Sage Accounting to stay up-to-date on my accounting, account reconciliation, and routinely use it for invoicing. The software is approachable, and I find it meets most of my needs competently, although I find their multi-currency functionality could be better. It has been helpful in bringing my accounts up-to-date across multiple different projects and preparing for taxes.

The documentation is poor, and from a user interface perspective I find myself searching for specific things before I find what it is I need, and sometimes I have to defer to search engines to try and find things. Deferring to search engines doesn't really work as most results are centred around Sage's more established products to I end up back in the interface searching around.
I find Sage Accounting a much more enjoyable experience over quickbooks, and it feels like a much more mature product over Wave Accounting. Sage Accounting has some aspects of the best of both worlds.

I find it is well suited for small businesses who need to keep up with their basic accounting needs. It feels like the software has some maturity to it that does make it feel functionally stronger than some of the alternatives for cloud accounting software. I don't think it is well-suited to businesses that deal in multiple currencies.
