Overall Satisfaction with Salesforce Data Cloud

we use Salesforce Data Cloud in a marketing way it helps us ingest data from different sources and turn it into different segments, which is a lot cleaner and ensure data cleanliness? It is a key part of marketing operations process for us and we have been using it for about five years and have been continuing with the same used case

Pros

  • Ingest data from various sources
  • Reporting an Analysis

Cons

  • Sometimes it can be very fidgety and you need a team of salesforce developers in order to implement the solution
  • Can be expensive, but so are other providers
  • it has allowed us to ensure data is all clean and marketable so we don’t waste any random spaces
it is easy to use after you get the hang of it. If you have an internal team of developers you will be able to maximise the usage a lot better. I would recommend it to people who need to organise data in a more unified way but I can’t speak to it from an infrastructure perspective as I’m not from the infrastructure team
They are quite similar but it was a decision made amongst other stakeholders as well so I can’t justify the reason from my own department but as I understand salesforce allows better integration and since our CRM is already on salesforce it makes sense for us to unify at all.
