Overall Satisfaction with Salesforce Marketing Cloud

My organization uses Salesforce Marketing Cloud as our marketing automation tool. We upgraded from Pardot in 2023 for a more robust system that has advanced integration capabilities with Salesforce (our CRM) and also offers other elements such as personalization to help enhance our communication and demand generation strategy. We also host some landing pages within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, but tend to keep those for limited branding or no index purposes.

The product is very robust and will scale with our ongoing needs, it is just a bit complicated to navigate and not very user friendly. Have had to go through a lot of documentation to understand basic use cases around journey set-up and lead scoring (no native lead scoring).
I used Marketo for years and found it to be robust yet also fairly intuitive to navigate. When I joined my current role, they had just implemented Salesforce Marketing Cloud. I was initially not a fan, but since using the tool and navigating some complexities, I see the true capability and benefit of this robust tool.

Salesforce Marketing Cloud is great for creating personalized marketing campaigns across multiple channels and using data for insights. It fits our needs for customer engagement and automation. However, I find it a bit complex and expensive, so it might not be ideal for smaller companies or those needing a simpler tool. As a former Marketo & Pardot user, there is a big learning curve for this tool.
