Overall Satisfaction with SAP Analytics Cloud

We use SAP Analytics Cloud as a frontend to our local bi services. we role out the sac dashboards across departments. the further business cases are data visualisation of nonsap backend systems we do have so this makes it more easy for us to deliver informational Dashboards. we extend our scope time by time to provide better solutions to our customers

Pros

  • dashboard and story integration with local data
  • meta framework to build tool sets for our external customers
  • have a meta model to only store the framework informations and not data

Cons

  • user management is sometimes a hastle
  • cors frameworks makes it sometimes hard for administrators to analyse issues
  • browser based issues with versions are sometimes a hazle
  • faster implementation of reports
  • ability to get a mobile application with live data to management
  • send our data reports to a large base without another tool
Its method of keeping data out of the sac and just provide a framework to analyze and form the data makes it very good product for us. another reason for the rating is that we need a sucessor for our business objects solution which is getting old and out of support by sap

specific szenarios would include extending your local bi landscape with a good tools to visualize data. send our reports to management and build further information sources for description. less appropriate is the integration with the mobile devices as handling remote devices is quite complex in our landscape the mobile app sometimes does not respond as expected
