Overall Satisfaction with SAP Analytics Cloud

SAP Analytics Cloud is both a planning platform and an analytics integrated Development Environment. Many of my clients use it for planning dashboards and applications as it offers interactive widgets that can be enhanced via scripting.

Pros

  • Smart Insights - Trend Forecasting.
  • Simplification of Data Actions (compared to BPC)

Cons

  • Integration with API can be simplified to maximize data import / export with platforms outside of SAP suite.
  • Performance on stories both on web client and using SAP Analytics Cloud Excel Addin
  • Performance in general can be improved to make it comparable to products such as those in the SAS suite of solutions.
  • Moderate
Performance is the biggest challenge. it needs a desktop app to import data and improve report design.
