Overall Satisfaction with SAP Business Network

We have been able to get updates on supplier capacity, stocked levels, and shipment status and use those to be proactive about some potential disruptions. The platform's encryption capabilities for data in transit and at rest give an additional layer of protection for sensitive data.

Now, we share purchase orders, invoices, and shipping notices electronically, decreasing errors and the time it takes to process. We can easily monitor and give feedback on supplier performance, causing continuous improvement. Using the platform's collaboration tools, we have developed joint product development initiatives with key suppliers.
With the real current visibility to supplier operations and logistics, we've been able to identify these potential disruptions early. In case of disruptions, we can quickly point them out and add them to the network as an alternative supplier. From the platform, we are able to model different scenarios and build contingency plans.
Not only have we been able to lower costs, but we have also improved the supplier relationships by paying faster and more accurately. I can say that SAP Business Network has changed our supply chain operations for the better through more efficient collaboration, better risk management, and information driven choice making.
Before we chose SAP Business Network, we looked at Oracle Supply Chain Management Cloud and Infor Supply Chain Management. While SAP Business Network boasted robust features, the fact that our existing ERP system could be integrated with the tool in a better fashion, and it was more intuitive, sealed the deal for us.

SAP Business Network is perfect for supply chain complexity and global reach situations. It is a particularly good match for industries with sophisticated supply chains, like automotive or electronics manufacturing. Managing multiple tiers of suppliers shines by creating collaboration and transparency. However, it could be less suited to small-scale, localized production operations with simple supply chains, where many of its features may not be utilized.
