Overall Satisfaction with SAP Business Technology Platform
We use the SAP Business Technology Platform for integrations, custom development, and the Fiori Cloud Launchpad service. Along with the use of the platform and these services comes the use of other supporting services like Cloud ALM, Cloud TMS, and Cloud Identity Services.
Pros
- Provides secure connections from public to private cloud
- Securely publishes integrations through an API management layer
- Provides a public-facing user experience (web and mobile) for our private cloud SAP systems
Cons
- The Custom Domains feature is immature, and we haven't been able to fully use it as we intended, along with the Cloud Fiori Launchpad
- We are trying to utilize Cloud Integrations to support B2B/EDI integrations and struggling with the lack of mature capabilities in this space
- Providing a way for us to make our SAP environment public-facing so our users can access it without VPN and eventually with a mobile UI
- Allowing us to take steps toward a more SaaS like environment for our ERP platform
- Boomi and Apigee Edge
