Overall Satisfaction with SAP Business Technology Platform

We use SAP Business Technology Platform as a way to do SAP customizations and create custom solutions around SAP as well as leverage Adobe Document Services and SAP Integration Suite.

Pros

  • Integrate Identity and Access
  • Opinionated Development Environment
  • Partner Service Catalog

Cons

  • More availability across cloud regions. Most exciting features are region-locked
  • It has allowed us to innovate without risking changing our core SAP systems
  • It provides a common ui for accessing SAP and non-SAP systems
We have had outages in SAP Business Technology Platform relating to configuration changes that were required for us to make.
We have had other uncontrolled outages that affected the use of key business functions.
I have not seen or used any of the use cases
In my opinion, Google Cloud Platform is more low level and a generic building-block whereas SAP Business Technology Platform is optimized for SAP use cases or where one connected system is SAP
