Overall Satisfaction with SAP Business Technology Platform

We have 3 systems that had embedded fiori configured. The problem was that end user had to login 3 portals to access fiori, SAP Business Technology Platform Workzone (Launchpad) made it a unified portal for accessing all 3 system fiori at one place. End users could see all the apps in one unified portal.

Pros

  • Documentation
  • Integration with multiple On premise and 3 party products
  • Lower Infra Management and setup costs
  • Lower turn around time
  • Ideation to Realization time reduced drastically
  • Free option of some services for POC

Cons

  • Availability of services in all region and with service provider
  • more documentation on the integration
  • more self educating tutorials (video) not explaining functionality but taking 1 use case and driving end to end
  • Once SAP Business Technology Platform Sub account was not accessible which impacted the data flow in our integration suite which is live and productive environment. This impacted our business
  • Cloud Identity Services undergo reboot every fortnight which is not great when we have expiring certificates to renew
  • SAP Business Technology Platform sub account slowness
with Business Process Automation, we can enable the process automation which we are currently working , aim to reduce human error and manual intervention. With this put in place, we target to automate some the manual tasks like space clearing , failed job rerun. Also plan to integrate with ServiceNow for auto ticket creation
Support is really good. Documentation, self help content and the mission in the SAP Discovery center is more useful. With Missions, we get fair knowledge on the product and helps us kick start POC and then project.
I have seen and used at least one use case - Yes, I often refer and learn from the SAP help and the missions published in SAP Discovery center. This is a very good start point which helps us get accustomed to the product, features, and the usage before we start our POC

SAP Business Technology Platform Workzone (Launchpad) is a great launchpad for having the data / apps collaborated with multiple data sources at unified place. Cloud Identity services is a great identity authentication tool which we have integrated with our organisation AD and is working seamlessly. IPS we have used for the role provisioning and assignment.
