Overall Satisfaction with SAP Cloud Platform

We evaluated the IoT capabilities of SAP Integration Suite for an IoT device that we were developing. SAP Integration Suite has everything you need to launch a large-scale IoT project, and overall offers more features & services than any one project will need. We explored some additional services but primarily worked with the IoT capabilities.
  • Full-scale solution: from development to deployment, from software to device, SAP Integration Suite offers a comprehensive suite of applicable services
  • Powerful & scalable
  • Up-front about pricing
  • Pricing is certainly "enterprise" and therefore not be a fit for everyone
  • More use cases, examples, and tutorials would help given the limitless combinations of services and use cases
  • It was quick and easy to evaluate the platform for our needs
  • Ultimately we did not move forward with the platform due to our project needs changing
In an SAP-integrated enterprise project, SAP Integration Suite is a great solution. However Microsoft Azure is more flexible in terms of a scale of project & pricing, so may be superior for certain use cases, particularly where SAP integration is not necessary.

SAP Integration Suite is best suited to an enterprise use-case that values rapid development and deployment, where the product is well suited to the capabilities offered by the platform. Though the platform offers an enticing suite of services, I would not recommend using the platform for only one of these services/APIs as there are likely simpler and cheaper alternatives. The true benefit of SAP Integration Suite is combining several services.
