Overall Satisfaction with SAP Cloud Platform
It's being used by the Customer Department in our organization. We currently use SCP for SaaS applications like WebIDE, DQM, CPI etc. SCP helped us to created different instances of CPI to match our non-prod environment needs. We are in the exploring phase to utilize the SCP platform for deploying any custom-built applications.
- SAP platform integration with Azure AD is definitely a strength. It made our user management pretty easy once we turned on SSO.
- With the latest "pay per use" model we are in complete control of what is needed and sub-accounts can be provisioned when needed.
- The capability of using multiple user stores for authentication is really a plus to provision users from two different organizations.
- Role management is hit or miss. We had challenges in granting minimum roles required for the user. It could be a training or documentation issue.
- Streamlining "Cloud Peering" services across different data centers will definitely help organizations looking for a dedicated line for reliable connectivity.
- Currently, DQM services are only available in one data center out of Europe. It would be better if the option is provided to the customer to choose the data center location.
- It's too early for us to comment on ROI.
SAP CPI in SCP is equivalent to SAP PO on NetWearver. After evaluvating both products for cloud integrations, we choose to co with Cloud Platform Integration tool offered in SAP cloud platform. It's working best to provide secure integration with on-prem systems.
