Overall Satisfaction with SAP Cloud Platform

SAP Cloud Platform is currently being used by our IT Department to host in house applications including an ecommerce site as well as other custom applications. These apps are used to drive business by providing customers with an easy to use interface for consuming our products while offering continued rollouts of features on a monthly basis.
  • Comprehensive architecture
  • Easy to consume licensing
  • Availability of product support
  • Some products seem rushed
  • Cloud Foundry is immature
  • Certain limitations within Cloud Foundry do not seem to make sense (Feature set A)
  • In house application has been received positively by customers
  • Management/Administration of SCP has been resource intensive
The integration with on premise applications has been a large advantage.
This feature has not been adopted yet.
I only have experience with SAP Cloud Platform NEO and Cloud Foundry.

SAP Cloud Platform is well suited for companies that require integration and hosting of applications. SCP has a lot to offer in terms of different options and services however this seems like a double edged sword. Due to the amount of services the burden on the supporting IT resources can feel heavy at times. Certainly if you are using the latest and greatest offerings.
