Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use SAP Datasphere to run our mission-critical processes across the depth and breadth of our Analytics landscape. We have built a robust Data Fabric landscape by integrating multiple sources and creating interoperability for our reporting users. Not only for Operational reporting, but SAP Datasphere agile features help us to enable, encourage, and empower our citizen Analysts to build their own reports.

Self Service.
Lesser TCO( Total Cost of Ownership).
Native source Connectors.
Vertical and Horizontal integrations.

Cons

Transport
Business Content is not user-friendly especially without SAC.
Planning write-back features.

Return on Investment

Positive impact.
Resulted in 17% savings.
Project delivered 3 months ahead than on prem projects.

Usability

I am going for 7 as Datasphere, yet to evolve like BW. A major miss in the system is the Data loading error. We cannot identify the exact root cause once the load fails.

Alternatives Considered

SAP Analytics Cloud

SAC with SAP Datasphere works like a charm, and it uses the Live connectivity. Negative side:-Clients cannot use SAC for regulatory reports, or they have to download the entire Data for sending it to government agencies.
