Overall Satisfaction with SAP ERP

SAP ERP is being used across the entire organization. We control production and inventory, maintenance, sales orders finance and controlling and project systems. We were able to consolidate all processes cross regions in one single SAP instance. We are now at the point where we can take advantage of the structured data collected through transactional data into analytical tools like Power BI. The main challenge of SAP ERG is usability I would say. In a world where user interface needs to be easy and fast. SAP has a long way to go in this area.
  • Data integrity
  • Finance Integration
  • Inventory control
  • User interface
  • CRM
  • Reporting and data analysis
  • Global Inventory Control
  • Planning
  • Bad Usability
World wide adoption, diversity and partners availability. Geographic legal requirements functionality. Professional availability are pros. Cost of implementation, end user usability are cons. It has a very good integration cross modules and the API are very robust avoiding data integrity issue when you implement interfaces from and to other systems thru functional modules or BAPIs
SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI) Platform, SAP BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation), SAP Integrated Business Planning, OutSystems, Microsoft 365 Business
I would recommend SAP for medium to large companies that have operations in several regions or locations where you need to make sure you can have a high standard level on how to collect transactional data. I would not recommend using SAP and making too much customization across locations or business units.
