Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it for learning SAP in SAP classes for new consultants. We also implement SAP S/4HANA Cloud versions in different companies, where I form a part of the team responsible for the authorisations and GRC. The problems we have is that not to many documentation can be found the web in order to solve any problems. As we are still learning the cloud versions sometimes it takes some time to figure everything out.

Pros and Cons

The use of SAP S/4HANA Cloud standard, which is a great advantage
Much easier to configure
Building catalogs and groups for authorisation purposes are straight forward

As it is all standard, sometimes is misses a little deepdive
Customizing part is still more easy in the GUI
Autorisation tracking is not always that clear

Harder way to execute some customizing

Usability

SAP S/4HANA Cloud versions are nice to work with, sticking to the standard makes it much easier for consultants to work. Also the maintenance of the servers and the patching is a big advantage.

I like the SAP S/4HANA Cloud scenarios as the patching are done automatically, this is a great advantage compared to before. This way authorization is still up to date. Still it is a bit weird that the customer still has to include this in his contract or SLA as he is the responsible one at the end of the day. Cloud makes thins easier in a lot of ways, maintenance of the server but also in configuration as it sticks close to the standard.
