Overall Satisfaction with SAP SuccessFactors HCM

We use a large portion of the SuccessFactors Suite, including but not limited to EC, Reports, Performance Management, and Learning. I took over the Learning Management System in January of this year and have been working to improve the user experience. Big updates have included customizing the ILX to fit our company's goals and the users' needs. Our next endeavor is implementing Workzone and tailoring that to our Learning needs.

Pros

  • Managing the employee life cycle
  • Giving HR background information needed to make informed business decisions
  • Being future focused and ever growing

Cons

  • Learning reporting is rough when it comes to reporting out retraining deadlines
  • In Learning, the curricula retrain option for time based instead of event based causes compliance issues
  • Improved employee experience and visibility of own career and growth
  • Improved workflows to reduce bottlenecks or holdups on information needed (ex: requisitions)
There have been a lot of improvements over the last few years that make the system easier to use both for the users and the admins.
This is outside the scope of my role, but personally I look forward to the Talent Intelligence Hub and fully using those features.

Yes

The Learning system is great if you know all the tips and tricks to customize it and make it work for you. My instructors love how automated all of the processes can be, freeing up a lot of their time to focus on development instead of class management. Out of the box Learning reports are a bit rough if you don't know what you're looking for, but SAP has made improvements with how Learning integrates with Report Center/Story reports.

Integrating SAP SuccessFactors HCM

It felt very seamless, but honestly, I'm not as involved in the integration side. Since it seems to be working right, I can only assume it's easy!
