Overall Satisfaction with SAP SuccessFactors HCM

It is an integrated human resources suite where we can streamline our training, payroll, employee data etc. It allows us to see everything in one place creating a central area. I mainly use the talent management modules to combine our learning, development and performance goals. It has brought pros and cons to our productivity.

Pros

  • Integration through modules
  • Lots of diverse offerings
  • early adopters of new technology

Cons

  • Curricula and programs could use additional functionality to allow more customization
  • Configuration is hard and requires advanced skills or lots of research to make happen
  • Digitalized operations that had previously been all paper
  • Organized learning plans that used to be individual courses
It has a lot of great features if you know what you are doing or can spend the time learning the configuration and best practices.
The agents are cool and seem like that may be able to increase productivity or all high level managers the ability to automate their tasks easier.

I think it has a lot of great things but you have to do a lot of customization or change a lot of internal processes to see value out of it. It also requires significant user knowledge to configure and maintain the data so its not an intuitive system which is a con.
