Overall Satisfaction with Sigma Computing

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Sigma Computing is used most often by our Mintel Futures team. I believe it is used to host and run a dashboard to make our GNPD (global new product database) data making it easy to read and manipulate. My team (consultancy) uses this aggregated data to shrink project development time and decrease potential error.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Visually the dashboard is much easier to read and has everything in one place.
Making changes to the dashboard seems somewhat simple to do.
The integration did not take long. Our team was up and using it pretty quickly after hearing about it.

I believe it continues to shrink project build-time and increase what we are able to offer.

Usability

Even being distant from the Futures Team, I am able to step in and analyze the dashboards and make changes as if I were a pro. It seems fairly easy to understand even if you aren't trained in extensive platform building or data architecture.

Support Rating

I have not been in contact with anyone for support. I would assume it is very good though! I know that our futures team seems to speak very highly of everyone on the Sigma team. While I personally haven't experienced it, I know that there aren't any complaints on our end.

Likelihood to Recommend

I think it is perfectly well suited for any business that houses large aggregates of data from multiple sources (e.g., product data, consumer data, trend data). If you're trying to build a story, having the data in a place that is easy to read and limits the amount of potential error is huge.
