Overall Satisfaction with Skilljar

We needed an organized way of training our new employees as well as training our external clients on our platform. Skilljar is used by each department in my company as we onboard employees but is intended only for those new folks.
  • Ease of use! It's quite simple to create new courses and lessons in an organized fashion.
  • The ability to have as many learning paths as we need was crucial given all of the different departments as well as different roles within those departments in our organization.
  • Customer service was above and beyond during implementation.
  • We are unable to load our course content that is hosted through a Saleforce Community directly in Skilljar. My lessons have hyperlinks to our course content that is hosted this way.
  • It would be cool if Skilljar created some out-of-the-box generic trainings such as Sexual Harassment and Corporate Internet Policy.
  • Externally, our clients are able to sign up for training and complete a structured learning path to learn our product, as well as be able to refer back to the structured/organized training materials when needed. It's been widely adopted among our client base which certainly takes less time ($$) from our AM's when it comes to training.
  • Internally, our training is viewed as much more efficient. Just that, in itself, shows ROI in terms of time spent training as well as employee retention. (Note: I haven't looked at data to see if employee retention is better - just speculating here.)
We selected Skilljar because it was clear that they were driven to make us successful and would be willing to hold our hands through the implementation process. The team was professional, fun, and courteous! Huge bonus. We stacked them up against another company and after some interactions, it was a no-brainer.
Skilljar is well suited if you have your course content created prior to implementation. Much of ours was, which made implementation quicker than it could have been.
