Overall Satisfaction with Snagit

Snagit is used for training purposes. Support staff use the tool to document and visualize the end user experience by showing exact step by step instructions for end users to follow when setting up new software. The IT department and training department teams are the primary users of the tool.
  • Works great on PC and Mac
  • Records from Google Hangout and Skype sessions
  • Webcam recording is easy to setup
  • Perhaps include sharing functionality with other apps or social media
  • Send screenshots to multiple target locations
  • Bring back the text capture functionality, this was removed in version 12
  • We haven't done an ROI [analysis] on Snagit.
  • However it has improved processes and made capturing screens and training aids more effective.
  • Overall licenses are fairly reasonable for multiple users.
Well suited to drive business training and communication among groups of people that have varying levels of skills. It also complements face to face training and programming and can be optimized for online learning. It's also great to use in a classroom setup with on ground students and online students to visually see what the on ground students see in front of them.
