Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds IP Address Manager (IPAM)

We use it as a tool to keep inventory of wich ip is used and what is still available, ofr an example when we need to roll out a new virtual machine or netwerk device it needs an ip. And with out much effort we can lookup the ip range/subnet that the device needs to be in and see which ip's are still free.

Pros

  • IP ranges
  • subnet ranges
  • keep inventory
  • show wich are free and which are used

Cons

  • Maybe the GUI
  • overview
  • nothing that can come to mind
  • improve work flow
  • overal management of the ip/subnet database
  • better overview.
Like ive said in previous questions, it gives a better overview of the ip ranges and subnetss in whats being used and whats still available, it also improves the workflow since all the information that you need can be found in one place. its also easy to use and learn
