It is being used across all our sites to monitor our bandwidth usage.
  • User-friendly dashboard.
  • Metered at a glance statistics.
  • Phone app integration.
  • AD integration for 801.x port utilization.
  • Need for less skilled network analysts.
  • Decision making on bandwidth upgrades.
Brocade network advisor was great but it was too vendor-specific. It gave us the ability to make software upgrades from one location. It also provided real-time information on interface utilization to see anomalies in the network traffic.
When I initially try to call support it is difficult to open a case if you do not have your SW ID. Being sent to multiple departments just to open a case was really frustrating.

The product is well suited for multi-site star topology networks where bandwidth is shared. At a single site, it would be less appropriate as you wouldn't need as many resources to monitor your network.
