Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds NetFlow Traffic Analyzer (NTA)

SolarWinds NetFlow Traffic Analyzer (NTA) is being used to monitor bandwidth usage. We have many network ethernet connections that require monitoring to make sure applications flow smoothly throughout the network. SolarWinds NetFlow Traffic Analyzer (NTA) helps us be proactive on issues like network latency and overload. The reporting feature comes in handy for a quick status of the network.
  • Bandwidth monitoring
  • Application alerting
  • Performance analysis dashboard
  • Needing support for layer 3 Netwflow traffic
  • Dashboard could be simplified further
  • Application monitoring could be more detailed
  • Improving MTTR is a positive impact
  • Proactive vs reactive approach
  • Complete visibility across the network
Compared to ManageEngine OpManager, Solarwinds scales better on an enterprise level. NTA is more feature rich and has a more intuitive dashboard.
Support is good but could use improvement with regard to response times.
