Overall Satisfaction with Sophos SG Firewall Appliances

We deal with clients that need their data and assets secure, so web security is of utmost importance. We use the Sophos firewall to make sure our internet connections are always monitored and secure, blocking any outside threats, thus keeping our records, as well as our client's, safe and secure.

Pros

  • Granular control of what websites we can allow or block
  • 24/7 threat detection and protection
  • Easy-to-use dashboard

Cons

  • The dashboard could be a little simpler for the novice.
  • Easier to understand step-by-step instructions for certain processes would help.
  • We rest easy at night knowing our internet use is being closely monitored and we are alerted of any issues right away.
  • Our clients trust the security of their assets when they know Sophos is on the job.
It does the job well, but is not easy to learn if you are not an IT person (but it can be done!)
We use Sophos in conjunction with WatchGuard, for an extra added level of security. Sophos is a little more sophisticated and complicated but they work well together as added layers of protection against most cyber threats.

Well suited in tech companies that have an IT person to monitor and adjust settings as needed. It is not SUPER user-friendly if you don't know what you are doing.
