Overall Satisfaction with StarWind HyperConverged Appliance (HCA)

We needed a cost effective, redudant virutal environment to host our virtual applications. Storage size was not the main factor but more so uptime. We are now able to run apps with failover and backup plans if necessary. We also needed a good support system in case of trouble with monitoring.

  • Initial cost was cheaper that previous system
  • Haven't had to upgrade hardware as much
Their support has identified issues and notified us as they happen. They also help find a solution for any of the issues in a timely manner and help you resolve them if needed. Also has idenified issues with other software that caused issues with the HCA software and recommened solutions for those as well.
We haven't really experienced any downtime since starting up the servers.

StarWind HyperCoverged Appliance works for anyone that needs an easy to setup failover system for multiple applications. If you need support and monitoring of the systems StarWind HCA will help. The only time I wouldn't recommend it is if you are not hosting a lot of data and only have say 1 or 2 VMs. Might be overkill in that situation.
