Overall Satisfaction with StarWind Virtual SAN
This software is used in our organization to improve the reliability of storage of all the documentation in our company. It allows you to get a hot reserve of our corporate storage system. In case of the failure of one of the sites, this software will allow us to provide service to employees in full so that they will not notice the difference.
Pros
- This software product allows you to get high availability, there is no interruption in the provision of service.
- Budget savings. Very profitable solution price.
- Easy to set up and operate.
Cons
- Continue to release software updates to earlier versions of Windows operating systems. For example, the 2008 version.
- StarWind Virtual SAN definitely had a positive impact. In the event of a power outage, the human factor, the product allowed the service to be delivered.
The Windows Server Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) technology allows you to get the desired result, but this technology appeared only in the 2016 version. In the earlier Windows Server 2008 software, this technology does not exist, this was the reason for choosing StarWind. The value of the product is also important.
