Use Cases and Deployment Scope

StarWind Virtual(V) SAN was deployed on our two host VMware ESXi servers. StarWind VSAN has allowed us to deploy a VSAN high availability storage on our servers without having to resort to buying the ESXI solution. The product has been stable and easy to setup. Additionally the support has been amazing.

Support Rating

Support was amazing! They reached out right after we purchased the software license. They also reached out to check if we deployed the system. They also checked in multiple times to verify that the software was setup. They did a screen share and their tech gave optimization tips and configuration advice. After we implemented their suggestions they reached out a second time to verify that the configuration suggestions they gave during their first screen share were implemented correctly.

Alternatives Considered

VMware vSAN

StarWind in our experience has a better pricing service and customer support. Additionally, only 2 host machines are required to setup the VSAN compared to 3 machines minimum recommended by VMware vSAN. This allowed us to save money on the licensing costs,hardware costs, and had amazing support compared to our experience with vmware.

After purchasing the license it was relatively simple to follow the StarWind documentation on their website once we found the most recent link. After the initial meeting they reached out a few weeks afterward to double check that their recommendations were implemented properly.
