Overall Satisfaction with SUSE Rancher

We currently use SUSE Rancher as a consolidated service for our Kubernetes developmental endeavors. We're relatively new to the platform so have been experimenting using it as a head piece for many of our existing systems. The more we become familiar with the functionality, the more we see opportunities to integrate our existing solutions and make them even better and easier to maintain.
  • Automates processes
  • Centralized security
  • Makes provisioning easier
  • Sometimes encounter logging bugs
  • Metadata connection troubleshooting
  • Meeting deployment requirements
  • Automation
  • Security consolidation
  • Catalogue services
  • Saves employee time
  • ROI increases the more production clusters you implement
  • Centralized security features keep us safer and less exposed
I find SUSE Rancher easier to use and configure with the features I want to really use. I'm finding more people in the community to help in getting support for the product. The other competitors seem to lock you too much into their own ecosystems and keep many needed details locked away behind the scenes for you to unfortunately discover at the wrong time.

Do you think SUSE Rancher delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with SUSE Rancher's feature set?

Yes

Did SUSE Rancher live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of SUSE Rancher go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy SUSE Rancher again?

Yes

SUSE Rancher is an excellent platform to automate and secure your Kubernetes implementations from a central management platform. Thank goodness the SUSE Rancher community gives many examples and helps to get you on your way with the setup. If you don't have a handle on how Kubernetes works, let alone multiple installations, this probably would be overkill and you could stay simple until you're ready to grow.
