Overall Satisfaction with Tableau Desktop

  • Great at storing history of reporting, and pulling various reports by division and time frame.
  • Sometimes hard to format reports to fit on page. Often end up with unnecessary blank pages at the end of some reports. Have tried changing page layout and formatting, but can't seem to get the appropriate fit.
Would not want to switch and worry about losing consistency and history of reporting. Also, formatting with other data that is included works well.
  • Monthly and ad-hoc client reporting.
  • Using reporting for new client programs to help them track campaign success.

Using Tableau Desktop

  • Mostly for reporting. Helps merge data from several different sources into one report.

Evaluating Tableau Desktop and Competitors

Tableau Desktop Implementation

It went very smoothly.

Tableau Desktop Training

Yes and no...If I was the one programming the reports, I would want training. But I just pull the data from the reports that have already been designed.

Configuring Tableau Desktop

Well, I am still learning as I go, but I believe it offers just the right amount of flexibility while allowing the integrity to stay in place. I recently had to create a few new client reports and I was able to utilize a current workbook from another client an easily apply leanings to create the new reports.

Tableau Desktop Support

Honestly, don't think I have ever needed to use the customer service.
Not Sure - Not my decision.
