Overall Satisfaction with Tableau Online

It is being used across our organization, wherever cloud applications are being used. We use it primarily with Salesforce for CRM, and with Workday for HR. It addresses the infrastructure-related challenges in other business units that occur due to on-prem Tableau.
  • Hassle free, as it is on the cloud
  • Works as a log for individual or departmental work
  • Easy to share knowledge
  • Access Control & Sharing...maybe a setup similar to Google Docs would help
  • Some basic editing functionality would help, as some improvements are thought of AFTER publishing on Tableau Online
  • Really difficult in terms of dashboard, with few cloud & on-prem data extracts
Domo does not fare well against Tableau in terms of visualizations. Our users gave a thumbs up for Tableau, so we went with Tableau Online.

Best for companies where on-prem IT availability is limited, and also for companies who have many cloud data sources available to them.
