Overall Satisfaction with Tableau Online
It started as a tool for Finance and Accounting to use to build and publish reports and dashboards to help track our budget. Now that we are up and running, we have been pushing out the use of it to other departments, encouraging users to be more proactive in monitoring their financials.
- Great resource for consolidating and organizing reports across the organization.
- Can be accessed without having knowledge about how to use Tableau Desktop.
- Great complement to Desktop to allow for visuals to be accessed anywhere, anytime.
- Could have a feature that workbooks that are connected to live data sources could refresh automatically instead of having to publish from desktop everytime you want updated figures.
Tableau Online is much better at presenting and visualizing and manipulating your data. While Host Analytics is second to none in data consolidation, Tableau has much greater flexibility in exploring that data.
