Use Cases and Deployment Scope

At Passenger we use Tableau Server to combine datasets about all apsects of our communities. This includes, contract, billing, web site performance and email tracking data. We are using across the organization for different purposes and different use cases. For us, it allows for a one-stop view of disparate data sets, while also using that data to track the company's and client's performance.

Alternatives Considered

We evaluated Tableau Server against all the major players out there. We had a bad experience with one of the major players and switched them out for Tableau. It was one of the best business decisions we have made due to our experience with Tableau and their team. Tableau offers great support, training and their product is easy to use and configure.

Likelihood to Renew

We have nothing but good things to say about Tableau and once they add in additional items for data blending and get their exports to work better, all of our needs will be met.

Likelihood to Recommend

We specifically asked about it's ability to combine different data sets and how easy it was to self-administer. We had a very bad experience with another vendor and didn't want to repeat the same mistakes. For all teams out there, be sure that your team can maintain the solution without the vendor.
