Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As we are mostly a service based start up but some times we also lunch new products that could cater our old customers which helps us in improving their overall experience with the company and Teamcenter is a tool that creates the complete life cycle of these products so that they can launched and also get serviced properly even after sales is done.

Pros and Cons

Pros

The data of all the products can easily be checked through the dashboard of Teamcenter
The software can easily be integrated with ERP and CAD for enhanced operations and designing
Helps multiple team to work for the same project from remote locations

Cons

For setting up Teamcenter we needed a professional outsourced IT team that configured it with our business
Also, it costed us more then 25k to complete it's setup with all the license and support team
Whenever we process a large range of data on it I have noticed a significant amount of lagging maybe because the initial setup could have been better or there might be some other reason

Return on Investment

There is no wastage of time and energy on the products on which we are unsure, so now we launch our products by data based discussions
But there will be need of a IT team for any kind issues in software for support
The total number of sales has been increased by 23% after its installation and complaints has been decreased by 67%.

Scalability

We have lots of franchise on different states of the country and after installation of this software on our main branch we need to expand it to all the franchise and it was not a difficult task as after installing it once, it was simple to expand it in the same business functioning in different locations

As the initial setup of Teamcenter is little high according to my experience but at the same time if we see the maintenance of this tool than it is budget friendly also, if the professionals handling this tool learn about it's basic configuration than managing and creating the life cycle of products becomes much easier for any business which is something unique and resourceful.
