Overall Satisfaction with Tecnomatix

There is lots of point in Tecnomatix that help our company like we are saving cost and time earlier spending on trial-and-error method. Secondly detecting production and process issue before physical setup and enhancing collaboration between design and manufacturing team. I like Process Simulate and Line Designer. Easy to use and multiple controllers supported for programming like Fanuc, Kuka, ABB and more.

Pros

  • Robot Simulation using technomatix process simulate tool.
  • Tecnomatix line designer help to setup machinery and processes to reduced cycle time, improve productivity, eliminate major loss.
  • Factory design

Cons

  • Some more controller should be supported.
  • Auto path planning for welds, rivets, and sealing paths instead needs manual refinement.
  • Managing large manufacturing libraries like robots, tools, fixtures lack version control, it should be improved.
  • Positive impact using Tecnomatix is usually delivers strong ROI by reducing costly errors, shortening commissioning time, and improving production planning. It saves money because problems with robots, assembly, or layout are found early in simulation instead of on the shop floor. It also helps improve productivity by optimizing robot paths, balancing lines, and reducing downtime during new model launches.
  • Negative point from myside is Tecnomatix requires high investment in licenses and powerful hardware. It also takes time to build accurate simulations and frequent design changes can increase workload.
It is very powerful and capable product, but the interface is complex, and the learning curve is steep because many workflows require deep knowledge. Once get experience it works well but getting to that point takes significant time and training.
The software can do a lot, but the interface is little bit complicated, and many tasks require advanced knowledge, which makes it harder for new users.

Do you think Tecnomatix delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Tecnomatix's feature set?

Yes

Did Tecnomatix live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Tecnomatix go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Tecnomatix again?

Yes

Technomatix works best for big and complicated manufacturing setups like robot welding lines, assembly checks, and full factory simulations but its not a good fit for small projects, quick design changes, simple robot teaching on the shop floor, or cases where detailed physics or flexible parts need to be simulated.
