Overall Satisfaction with Teradata Vantage Advanced SQL Engine (Teradata Database)

Teradata is used by most of the departments in business enterprise. It addresses the processing of large amounts of data with ease.
  • Is capable of running on single-nodes, as well as multi-nodes.
  • Parallelism is built into the system.
  • Teradata is basically an RDMS which is used to drive the Datamart, Datawarehouse, OLAP, OLTP, as well as DSS Appliances of the company.
  • Comparing Hadoop to a data warehouse is like comparing apples to oranges. The data warehouse is a concept and Hadoop is a technology.
  • I really want to see Teradata evolve all the new technology on par with Hadoop
  • Very positive and very good returns on the investment.
Teradata is the first database technology which handles the large amount of data.
Teradata is best used for data processing after the data is loaded. It is less appropriate in handling real-time data.
