Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Tibco EMS is used across all our organization. It is the base of or integration applications from BPM, pure System-to-system integration and even inter country connectivity

Cons

Multiserver setups are a bit restrictive for storage requirements
Not the best connection manager for problem tracing

Return on Investment

It works, always, even after some hard reset
Compared to IBMs MQ it is so easy to setup and manage!
Highly integratable and easy to connect to BW and other EAIs

Alternatives Considered

Better integration with BW, easier to setup and a very good support whereas others lack some of them. Kafka is a threat anyway

Other Software Used

TIBCO BusinessWorks, Appian, TIBCO Rendezvous, Elasticsearch, Cloudera Enterprise, Logstash, Apache Spark

EMS is very good in areas where reliability is a must, ensuring message delivery and message confirmation.
Also very good on SOAP/JMS.
Horizontal scalability can be improved, multiple consumers sometimes require a mess of a setup.
