Overall Satisfaction with TIBCO Messaging

Tibco Enterprise Message Service (EMS) is always used with TIBCO BusinessWorks as a messaging server in our organization. It is used to allow unsynchronized execution of flows.
  • Queue for point to point communication
  • Topic for publishing is subscriber communication mode
  • Bridge and routes
  • Durables are very difficult to maintain
  • Applications disconnect unexpectedly from EMS
  • No native tool to monitor EMS instances
  • Queues and topics are quickly and easily created
  • Scripting mode is very rich and fast
  • EMS is a JMS implementation so we can communicate with our partners who use JMS
  • EMS installation is quick and easy
  • ACLs are very complete
We selected TIBCO EMS because we selected TIBCO BW as an ESB. TIBCO EMS must be installed in the TIBCO BW stack. I prefer TIBCO EMS because it implements very powerful functionality like bridges and routing.
TIBCO EMS is very well suited to be used with TIBCO BusinessWorks as a messaging server. Messages are kept in queues or topics and are not lost until consumers connect. There are many acknowledgment modes. TIBCO EMS is not well suited to use when we have a huge volume of data to transport. We use Kafka instead.
