Overall Satisfaction with Time Doctor

I use it for myself to track the amount of hours that I work for each client and project.

Pros

  • First of all, time tracking. I actually did some very thorough tests and it is extremely precise.
  • The ability to quickly select the client and project that you're working for. It's literally a matter of just two clicks.
  • The way it knows to put itself on pause when you go away from the computer and forget to say so.

Cons

  • I could see room for improvement in editing the timeline. Maybe some dragging to resize would be nice.
  • I can only see the positive aspect: it keeps me focused and I feel I'm more productive after I hit the "Track time" button.
I haven't used any other similar products.
It is very well suited for freelancers that want to track the time they work very accurately. Even if you don't work by the hour and you just have a fixed price contract, you can easily see at the end see whether it was profitable or not.

The only scenarios I see where Time Doctor wouldn't be appropriate would be those in which time tracking is not relevant.
