Overall Satisfaction with Tricentis NeoLoad

We use Tricentis NeoLoad for backoffice frontend and API performance testing. We have replaced JMeter and an older solution from Oracle, which was no longer supported. We use it more than one year without any issue. The scope is to decide if the release can go live or not based on the performance test results.

Pros

  • Reporting
  • Live tracking of performance data
  • Detecting performance bottlenecks

Cons

  • Maybe already recorded responses could be replaced with a newer one could be handy sometimes.
  • Reliable performance testing tool so far
  • No need for workarounds or special plugins, all need is covered by the tool
At the moment we could not extend the scope, but we are working on it.
It is quiet fast to develop a brand new script or fix an existing one with the help of the tool.
It outperformed all of the above mentioned tools in many aspects

For end-to-end web application performance tests and API perf tests the tool is perfect. I have no experience in mobile APP performance test with neoload, but would be great to learn about that one too.
