Overall Satisfaction with TripActions
TripActions is used to research and purchase flights and hotel rooms for our business (and sometimes personal) travel. The platform is used primarily by the company's domestic, international, and government sales departments, as well as company management. The business problems TripActions addresses are the need to canvas multiple travel and hotel sites, as well as needing a dedicated travel coordinator to manage all travel needs for company employees.

- Consideration of personal travel
- Merging personal and business travel under a single "trip"
- Service fee for personal travel seems ill advised when the platform benefits from business travel
- There was at least one occasion when quoted rate could not be booked as it was no longer available.

TripActions is the first platform of its kind used by the company. Our director of Domestic Sales selected TripActions after evaluating other platforms (the names of which I do not know). His objective was to streamline travel planning, so that individual users are able to handle their own travel needs within company budgets, rather than relying on a travel coordinator position to handle planning for multiple employees (which had been the approach prior to TripActions).
