Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Trust Swiftly for our gaming site due to customer chargebacks. During busy holiday shopping we have more chargebacks so we need many ways to verify our customers. Mostly we use it for high risk payments and other purchases that need extra review. The solution helps find fraud quickly since there are multiple ways it detects a person.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Trust Swiftly gives us many options to verify a payment in any country. For example, they have coverage with almost every country in the world even small ones.
They listen to feedback when we requested a new feature. We needed to block IPs for some countries.
It is fast to use the tool with reviewing each page. The app is responsive and loads quickly.

Cons

There needs to be more guidance for agents to read what is in a report about a user.
The IP block should also work for US states too as we have to block them for regulations.

Return on Investment

There has been a positive impact on costs as we used to lose lot each month due to chargebacks from our customers. The rate of loss has declined significantly so we are seeing good results.

Usability

Using Trust Swiftly has been very good for day to day checks on our customers. The only thing is it takes some time getting used to so that everything is checked with a customer. The learning curve is steeper for more advanced verification checks so there is added requirements to review.

Alternatives Considered

Persona and Veriff

We only briefly checked some other options but mostly they were unable to meet the requirements of our industry of payments. There were no tools that could do payment verification for us, so that is what made us select trust swiftly first. The other costs and pricing were not clear so we went with the most open pricing.

It works well for our gaming site since we cover worldwide different regions. It is important when you want high security transactions since we get so much extra data back about each customer. We can also pick and choose when to use it so the flexibility is important to understand when to use it. Make sure you include privacy statements and checks as each one may require different information.
