Overall Satisfaction with UZIO

We opted to use UZIO as a payroll system for our small retail cannabis business. Because we're part of the cannabis industry, finding a payroll solution was not easy. From the initial set up phase through to manager and staff use, UZIO has offered a very easy, reliable solution for our organization to track time and pay employees.

Pros

  • Tech support is consistent and reliable.
  • User interface is easy for employees tracking time and managers approving time.
  • High degree of confidence in the tech.

Cons

  • We use the time tracking and payroll aspects of UZIO. I understand there are additional HR support aspects, but we haven't needed those yet.
  • Payroll processing takes less than an hour each week.
  • Adding new employees is a streamlined, quick process.
  • Employees report ease of use in time tracking.
UZIO is so easy to use. From the management perspective, the dashboard is organized in a very straightforward way, allowing easy review and modifications of time sheets and running reports. From the employee perspective, using either the mobile version to clock in/out or a link on a desktop has been easy for even the least tech-savvy employees.
When we first began to research payroll solutions for our retail cannabis dispensary in New Mexico, we considered a few options but ultimately decided on UZIO as it seemed to fit our smaller company size (10 to 12 people), the fee schedule was clear and easy to understand, and the service seemed uniquely suited for our specialized industry.

Finding a reliable payroll service in cannabis has been difficult. I've used a number of payroll options throughout the past few years and the biggest problem encountered is that all previous payroll services evolve away from cannabis clients. UZIO was a great choice for us from the beginning of our search.
