Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup for AWS

Veeam Backup for AWS was used as part of a prototype cloud based solution as part of a collaborative project with a customer. We were seeking a solution that was well regarded and documented, provided flexibility for our changing requirements and an option to scale up.

A backup solution was essential given the importance of the data we were publishing to AWS.
  • Well documented.
  • Easy to understand user interface.
  • Simplicity in integration with AWS.
  • Greater clarity about service fees (what's included and what's not).
  • Technical support services.
  • Ease of access to some regularly used functions.
  • Efficiency in configuring and maintaining cloud backups.
  • Cost-savings compared to traditional cloud based solutions.
  • Simplicity in integration with AWS, saving time in deployment.
Manual backups are now a thing of the past. The automated process offered by Veeam Backup for AWS reduce the monotonous tasks involved in scheduled backup processes, all too familiar in IT departments these days.
We have yet to face a need to recover from a backup, however our tests have shown that this process is streamlined and available when needed. Perhaps the configuration process for setting up the backup system could be simplified, particularly for newcomers.

Overall, a strong, reliable platform that meets our needs.
