Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup & Replication
We integrated Veeam Backup & Replication with EMC VNX 5400 and HP P4300 G2 storage. We used it across the whole organization. It will resolve a lot of issues, like item level recovery of Active Directory, Exchange, and Database. It was help us to make off-site backups in other geographical locations in Saudi Arabia.
- Its item level recovery is superb and easy to use for all admins.
- Its WAN Acceleration feature will help admins to take off-site backups with maximum throughput.
- Its error logs are very pathetic and need to be simpler to understand by young/junior administrators.
- Reporting needs more improvement, and we need to use 3rd-party software for effective reporting.
- This is scalable product to meet growing need of any organization.
- No need to pay additional charges over deduplication and universal application item recovery.
We took backups of 100+ virtual machines using 4 ESXI hosts, which means it will help us to take backup of our whole infrastructure. We also configured its WAN acceleration to get off-site backup of our major applications and databases. In most of the cases, we successfully recovered backups on-time.
