Veeam Backup & Replication

Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup & Replication

We take backups using Veaam Backup and Replication console. Server-side backups as well as tape library backups, we are using this for tape library backups. The scope for my position as I am a database administrator and an SQL server administrator, the application-aware backups are very good as the Recovery point time could be minimized drastically.
  • Virtualized workloads

Fifty plus servers are present, like SharePoint, mail, oracle, SQL server, production, and test environments, all are dependent on Veeam Backup and Replication, this product is quite great and we can manage our backups and servers from a centralized location.
  • ROI is achieved in a very less time period.
As previously described the application-aware backup, we want these backups so we opt for Veeam Backup and Replication.
No not uptill now, but in the near future, we will definitely get this feature as well.
SQL Server application-aware backups are incredible, you just set the target server and then restore the restore point in time, and select a particular time so that it could be restored to the target environment. .bak files should be readily available as this feature is missing you have to generate the .bak file if application-aware backups.
