Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365

We are using Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 to backup our User Mailboxes, One drive, Select Teams environments and Many Sharepoint sites used by our organization.

Pros

  • backup / restore user mailboxes

  • backup / restore sharepoint sites / files

Cons

  • allow customers to create their own backup jobs / schedule
  • overall sense of security for data integrity for our environment
Looking at how we used o365 in our business. We looked at other vendors for a solution. Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365's service offerings covered everything we were looking for at a great price point. We have been happy with the results.
the interface is straight forward. It would be nice to be able to set our own schedules on the jobs without having to involve support.
I have validated I can go back and restore deleted items, or recover previous versions of files.
Being able to restore back to the source, a user folder, or mailbox is key to quickly resolve issues.
I like the dashboard. It gives a quick but detailed overview. I usually just log in and check the portal and can quickly see what I am looking for.
I like the reporting features. I get a email with status of the daily routines which gives me a sense of security each morning when I check my email. Knowing the system is doing what it's supposed to do while I am away.
I really like the features, the usability, and the support. I really have no complaints. I can't imagine a product working better.
I've had quick responses and they have always fixed any issues I have ran into.

I believe it integrates well with most environments. Being able to quickly recover emails, site data or individual files in one drive. It really fits our environmental structure for data backups / restoration.

Yes - issues with scheduling jobs.
I had issues where I had some sharepoint sites not backing up. Support was able to help me resolve the issue very quickly. They have always came through with a solution.

  • having to have the support team set the backup times on my jobs because it doesn't allow the user to specify an execution time was a feature I felt that should have been out of the box.

cloud based, ability to give end users ability to access their own backups. everything is in the cloud, including office 365 so scalability is easy.
I have yet to need it during any of their scheduled maintenance windows. It's always online.
retrieving data takes a bit (as with any backup system)

Yes - we started with a trial to set it up, then transitioned once the billing was complete. They did everything on their end it was simple.
