Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365
We are using Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 the sharepoint, teams and mail backup. Because Veeam is running this in the cloud the restore of data takes less time which is a huge advantage. Before we had the Veeam software on prem, therefore we had to maintain the server, storage and network connectivity which is now totally replaced by the cloud services. This is easier to manage and to maintain.
Pros
- Backup and restore of mail and calendar items
- Reports of all jobs
- Backup and restore of all onedrive items
- Backup and restore of sharepoint items
- Also removed email items can be recovered
- Backup and restore team chats and items
Cons
- Backup of other cloud services like devops
- We had benefits because we needed to replace the on prem hardware. We took this in consideration.
After covid more people went to work from home and worked online with alle the O365 services. We needed to make sure we could not lose the data which is essential for our company.
None. We don't give users access to the backup and restore features. This is all administered by the admin.
We did not have to restore that many items yet, we are using the product for a few months now. But am sure we can use these options when we need to restore items.
Best is the restore of all the Outlook items and all the maps and folders for a longer period of time. This feature we willl probably use the most.
This is used for restoring files for dedidated hardware. Is not related to the cloud services we use for O365.
