Peace of mind for a reasonable price.

We use Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 as our backup for OneDrive, Outlook, etc. It provides for us a better solution and extended time frame for backup and file recovery than the standard 30-90 days of M365 policies, along with peace of mind in case of account takeovers and ransomware attacks. We have around 80 users/mailboxes covered through this service, along with over 30 SharePoint/Teams sites.

We had experienced some account takeover issues and had issues restoring some files from our M365 environment, as well as issues restoring all emails from a few inboxes. After talking with our counterparts who were using Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365, we scheduled a Veeam representative to talk at one our our annual meetings of IT professionals. Their presentation, along with personal discussions of our situation and needs with those Veeam representatives, made us confident that Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 was the correct choice for us.

We have benefited from the capability to quickly restore and recover data when it is lost. We had an employee accidentally delete a folder from a SharePoint site but didn't realize it until a few months later. We were able to use Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 to restore that folder and its files within minutes of locating it.

This ability to restore directly to a location and the flexibility of those options has been helpful. We restored a folder directly to a SharePoint location and have used the service to restore emails to an inbox and even share an email to a different user who needed that information from a previous employee's mailbox.

Our favorite features of Veeam are the search functions for files & emails and the ability to see which backup policies are running, their recent successes/failures of those runs, and the reporting notifications that comes from those runs to our emails.
